Abstract
Concrete in road infrastructure development in various regions in Indonesia is currently growing rapidly and is almost in the history of road construction in Indonesia. However, this growth has not been matched by the quality in the implementation of the road construction, especially in concrete works which are sometimes still incorrectly constructed. The purpose of this research is to find out how much influence the sawdust of wood charcoal will have in project implementation if it is given a load. This test uses a sample of cylindrical concrete measuring 15 cm in diameter, 30 cm in height and with concrete blocks with a length of 100 cm, a width of 15 cm, and a height of 20 cm with the quality of K175 concrete with an additional percentage of wood charcoal powder, namely 0%, 2.5%, 5% and 7.5%. Concrete tests carried out in this study are compressive strength, flexural strength, tensile strength and porosity of concrete.In compressive strength, the best values are 0% = 28.92 MPa, 2.5% = 26.20 MPa, 5% = 28.20 MPa , and 7.5% = 29.80 MPa. The best value for split tensile strength is 0% = 12.55 MPa, 2.5% = 15.15 MPa, 5% = 15.21 MPa, and 7.5% = 17.75 MPa. The flexural strength of the concrete obtained the best value, namely 0% = 2,86 MPa, 2,5% = 3,39 MPa, 5% = 3,72 MPa, dan 7,5% = 4,92 MPa. The best value for concrete porosity was 0% = 25.77%, 2.5% = 24.34%, 5% = 24.18%, and 7.5% = 24.30%.
