Abstract

The dangers of sand mining on the southern slopes of Mount Merapi are landslides, reduced water availability, changes in soil structure, decreased infitration capacity, and loss of soil organic matter. This study aims to: (1) develop the potential video blog teaching media and the distribution of mining materials in the distribution of mining materials in Indonesia (2) determine the effectiveness of improving student learning outcomes using the development results of video blog learning media. The research subjects were students of class XI IPS 1 as the control class and XI IPS 3 as the experimental class. This study used a pretest and posttest by using two classes of data collection techniques in the form of observation, questionnaires and tests with quantitative descriptive analysis. This research uses the 4D method which is modified into 3D, including a definition containing the type of product to be developed and the material to be presented in the media, the design contains research planning to make a predetermined product design, Develpment contains research development validating media development learning. The results of the study for class XI IPS 1 as the control class had an average pretest of 82.9 and the posttest average score of 84.1 with a total of 34 students.While the class XI IPS 3 as the experimental class had an average pretest of 77.9 and The posttest score has an average of 85.3 with a total of 34 students.The T test is calculated using SPSS with a sig 0.470 results in the control class meaning that there is no difference in the results of the pre test and post test, the experimental class gets sig 0,000, which means there is a difference in the pre test results and post test. So it can be concluded that video video blog learning media can improve student learning outcomes.
