Abstract

Market sanitation is control through monitoring and examination of the effects generated by the market which are closely related to the emergence and spread of a disease. Flies are insects which are vectors of disease in humans. The density of flies is a parameter of success in waste processing. The higher the fly density figure obtained, the worse the sanitary conditions of the market, and vice versa, the smaller the fly density, the better the sanitary conditions of the market. This study uses a literature review method in which the author will compare, evaluate, review and analyze the 5 journals that will be studied related to environmental sanitation which has an impact on fly density with research objects in traditional markets. The study used inclusion criteria which included: Market Sanitation, Market and Fly Density, Research Methods: Descriptive Observational, Indonesian language articles used at least 2010. From the 5 journals that have been analyzed, it is found that 4 out of 5 journals state that environmental sanitation has an influence on fly density in traditional markets. Judging from the poor sanitation, the market environment includes waste management and sewage channels, clean water, bathrooms and toilets, hand washing places, market disinfection. Each article has a difference in the population and sample studied which also affects the number of fly densities on the market.
