Abstract

Sragen subdistrict is the capital of Sragen Regency which belongs to urban management. This causes the land in the Sragen sub-district to change every year and the increase in population each year becomes the cause of land use. This study aims to determine the persistence of land-use changes in the Sragen Subdistrict in 2000 and 2018 and to know and analyze the characteristics of land-use changes in the Sragen Subdistrict in 2000 and 2018.The research method used in the research is to use remote sensing image interpretation using Sentinel 2-A imagery supported by data from Google Earth Pro application which is used to determine the types of land use located in the research and survey area to validate data from image interpretation results. The analysis method in a land-use change in Sragen subdistrict in 2000 and 2018 is overlay between the two land-use data in different years. As well as using qualitative descriptive analysis method to know the characteristics of land-use change in Sragen subdistrict in 2000 and 2018.The results of the research are during 2000 and 2018 there are several lands uses such as settlements, tegals / fields, empang / ponds, gardens/plantations, grass / vacant land, rice fields, toll roads, and land-use changes that experienced the most increase is the use of land as a settlement with an area of 169.32 ha or percentage of 43.2% with the dominant distribution occurring in the village of Nglorog, Sine, Karang Tengah, and tangkil. The second result of this research is characteristic of land-use change in Sragen Subdistrict, known is the dominant land use is the use of land as rice fields that turned into land use as a settlement with an area of 138.18 ha with a percentage of 43.2%, The pattern of land-use change in Sragen subdistrict is included in the cluster with a value of 0.576857, the direction of development of land-use change in Sragen District tends to lead to the west, east, and north. As for the south, there is rarely a change in land use because there have been buildings that have been built for a long time and dense settlements both large and small that resulted in dense southern areas.
