Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of Current Ratio and Debt to Equity Ratio on profit growth in consumer goods industrial companies listed on the Indonesian stock exchange. The period in this study is 2017-2019 (3 years). This study uses 2 independent variables and 1 dependent variable. The type of data used is qualitative data, because the data is in the form of numbers and is tested with statistics. The method used in this research is purposive sampling method, in order to obtain a sample of 10 companies. The population and sample in this study are manufacturing companies in the consumer goods industry sector that have certain criteria with a total sample size of 30 samples from 10 consumer goods industry companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange. The data sources used were taken from the sample companies' financial statements through www.idx.co.id. The research method used is multiple linear regression analysis techniques using SPSS 15.0. The partial test results (t test) show that the results of the current ratio and debt to equity ratio have a significant effect on profit growth in a negative direction. Simultaneously, all independent variables have a significant effect on profit growth in a negative direction.
