Abstract

This study aims to: 1) describe the form of environmentally caring character planting through the Community Care for the Environment in Giriwono Village, Wonogiri District, Wonogiri Regency; 2) Describe the constraints of Caring for the Environment Character Planting through Community Care for the Environment in Giriwono Village, Wonogiri District, Wonogiri Regency; 3) Describe the solution to the problem of planting an environmentally caring character through Community Care for the Environment in Giriwono Village, Wonogiri District, Wonogiri Regency. Data collection methods in this study using interviews, observation, and documentation. Environmental care character indicators in this study are: 1) Attitudes and actions that always try to prevent damage to the natural environment around them; 2) Developing efforts to repair environmental damage that has occurred; 3) Always want to provide help for others in need. The validity of the data in this study used technical triangulation and source triangulation. The data analysis technique in this study uses the interactive model method. The results showed that: 1) the form of characterizing environmental care can be instilled through attitudes and actions that always try to prevent damage to the natural environment around them, develop efforts to repair environmental damage that has occurred and always want to provide assistance to other people in need; 2) Obstacles in Planting Character Caring for the Environment through Community Care for the Environment in Giriwono Village, Wonogiri District, Wonogiri Regency, namely a lack of understanding of the importance of protecting the environment by the community, insufficient supporting tools for natural conservation efforts and efforts to repair damaged environments, lack of funding and time constraints; 3) Solutions to overcome the Obstacles of Caring for the Environment Character through Community Care for the Environment in Giriwono Village, Wonogiri District, Wonogiri Regency, namely holding outreach events on the importance of understanding how to protect the environment in collaboration with external parties.
