Siska Yuliana/A610140044. PENGEMBANGAN BAHAN AJAR MATERI HIDROSFER SUB BAB SIKLUS HIDROLOGI MATA PELAJARAN IPS UNTUK MENINGKATKAN HASIL BELAJAR KELAS X DI SMA MUHAMMADIYAH 3 SURAKARTA. Script. Faculty of Teacher Training and Education Sciences, Universitas Muhammadiyah Surakrta. January 2021. The study aims to determne 1) the criteria for good teaching materials in the Hydrological cycle class X at Muhammadiah Senior High School 3 Surakarta. 2) The hidrological cycle sub-chapter of the hydrological cycle teaching materials above can improve student learning outcome. This research is a type of research and development using Borg and Gall and a Quasi Experimental Group Pretest-Postest design, Non-Equivalent Control Group Design. The score was taken by givng the pre-test and post-test questions to the control class and the experimental class. Results of this study indicate 1) Based on the student needs test, abbreviated as student book learning, the material of the hydrolohi cycle is adequate. The use of student book learning media for class X IPS is effective because it displays pictures and examples of each question exercise material, individual or group assignments. 2) The difference between the pre-test and post-test results in the control class is the mean value of 74.40 and 92.00. In the control class the p-value is 0.000 <0.05, which means that there is a significant difference between the pre-test and post-test conducted in the control class. Whereas in the class that was treated with student book learning media, the average pre-test result was 48.27 and the post-test result was 89.07. P-value 0.000 <0.05, which means a significant difference between the pre-test and post-test results of the control class and the experimental class. The average value indicates that the learning media for students' books are more effective in increasing student knowledge and learning outcomes.
