PLTA Wonogiri is a supplier of electricity to parts of Wonogiri city. The power used is the potential energy of water by building a dam so that the water has a height and potential energy which is then converted into electrical energy. The generator must have a stable voltage because it will affect the overall generation system. To stabilize the generator terminal voltage, anneeded Automatic Voltage Regulator iswhich functions to regulate the excitation of the generator. This research determines how much voltage regulation is and how much influence the AVR has on the generator because AVR has a very important role in stabilizing the generator voltage at PLTA Wonogiri. The highest voltage regulation value is 10.38% at 18:00 where the rotational speed of the generator is high so that the nominal voltage of the generator also increases. Meanwhile, the lowest regulation value occurred at 07:00 at 3.50% with a load of 6.11MW. The amount of excitation current will adjust how much the nominal voltage of the generator increases. When the nominal voltage of the gernerator increases, the AVR as the excitation controller will decrease the voltage. Vice versa. AVR at PLTA Wonogiri works well because the generator terminal voltage does not increase or decrease significantly even though the nominal voltage changes.
