Abstract
The development of technology that is increasingly developing makes it easy for everyone to communicate, especially the easy use of the internet is one of the reasons we can communicate with other people in the online space quickly and can be done anywhere. The internet cannot be separated from online games such as PUBG Mobile which is becoming a trend, in the PUBG Mobile online game there is a chat communication feature and a microphone where features can be mistaken use it to say bad things to both opponents and friends, one example of negative actions that arise from the abuse of communication facilities in online games PUBG Mobile is Trashtalking. Trashtalk is a form of conscious or deliberate verbal communication by individuals for positive and negative personal reasons. Positive if done to motivate and for pleasure otherwise negative if done to annoy and intimidate. This research uses qualitative research with descriptive techniques. The purpose of this study was to find out how trash talk happened to the PUBG Mobile online game player. Data collection techniques are broadly divided into two parts, first primary data and second secondary data. This research uses in-depth interview techniques, participatory observation on primary data, and documentation on secondary data. The research subjects were players in a PUBG Mobile squad. The sampling technique used purposive sampling. Data analysis using Miles and Hubberman Interaction. The results showed that trashtalk that appears in PUBG Mobile games is related to games together or from within one game server in pubg mobile online game. PUBG Mobile players trashtalk because of motivations such as anger, accentuating ego, boredom, for entertainment, and accidentally in the form of impulsive comments. Since trashtalk itself has become the culture of PUBG Mobile, players even consider trashtalk is a common thing that happens in the game.
