Abstract
The objectives of this study are: 1) Developing website media in urban heat island mitigation, 2) Knowing the feasibility of website media in urban heat island mitigation that will be used in the learning process. This study uses a learning media development model (research and development / R & D) by using the 4D development research step which is modified by the researcher into a 3D model. The development procedure in this study was obtained by product development and product testing. The product of this research produces a website learning media with material coverage of the understanding of the atmosphere, greenhouse effect, global warming, and how to mitigate the urban heat island. The results obtained state that: 1) The development of website media uses a 4D model modified to 3D. Define contains the test of student and teacher needs to determine what students and teachers need in the media to be developed, the design contains the website design that has been analyzed in accordance with the needs test and adjusted to the layout, content and information in the developed website media, development contains about the validation of media experts and material experts as well as product trials developed on students and teachers to find out the product is suitable for use. 2) The website learning media developed in class X SMA Muhammadiyah 1 Surakarta has been assessed by material experts, which is 4.5 which is included in the "Very Appropriate 'category, the assessment by media experts is 4.2 which is included in the" Very Appropriate "category . The results of the media feasibility assessment obtained from students and teachers as respondents got a total of 52 respondents and with an average score of 3.9 which was included in the "Feasible" category. This value makes the website media as a developed learning medium suitable for use in the learning process of geography subjects in global climate change (urban heat island) material.
