Abstract
The condenser is a means of condensing steam from a turbine under vacuum pressure conditions. The used steam from the turbine enters from the top side of the condenser, then undergoes a condensation process in which a phase change occurs from water vapor to water (condensate water). Condenser at PT. Indonesia Power Kamojang POMU uses a direct contact type condenser. The turbine output steam enters the condenser for the condensation process. Condenser performance is known from the calculation of the effectiveness of the condenser with the mass rate and cooling water temperature parameters. This study aims to analyze the effect of steam pressure entering the condenser and changes in cooling water temperature. That way it can be seen how the effectiveness of the condenser, whether it is running well or not. From the calculation results, it is found that the current condenser effectiveness is still operating well with the highest effectiveness value of 87.5%.
