Abstract

Continuous fatigue for a long period of time will become chronic fatigue felt before, during, and after work which causes an increase in sickness rates in individual and group workers (Suma'mur, 2009). This study aims to determine the relationship between physical workload and fatigue in workers in the printing and foundry department of PT. Various Adhilogam Karya, Batur Village, Ceper District, Klaten Regency. This research used analytic observational research with cross sectional approach. The population in this study were all employees in the printing and foundry department. The sampling technique in this study was total sampling. Characteristics of respondents are based on age, education and years of service. The results of the study there is a very significant relationship between workload and work fatigue at PT Aneka Adhilogam Karya in Klaten, with a p-value of 0.000 (<0.05) and a correlation coefficient of 0.874 (perfect correlation), in other words the heavier the load. work, the heavier the fatigue, or vice versa. Fatigue experienced by workers will have an impact on the loss of the will to work which causes workers to stop working. Suggestions based on the results of this study are that the company evaluates the workforce in the printing and foundry sector, the company can rank workers with an age of ≥ 50 years because they have experienced a decrease in productivity and can study other problems related to work fatigue.
