Abstract

This research aims at describing the application of joox music in vocabulary learning, especially in the material that will be given to students and the steps for learning vocabulary using Joox music and identifying the problems faced by teachers in learning using Joox music on English vocabulary at SMP N 1 Bulu. The subject of this study was 2 English teachers at SMP N 1 Bulu. This research applies qualitative methods. The research method used by researchers by means of interviews. This study found that the application of learning using Joox music is considered effective enough to improve vocabulary in English learning. In learning English vocabulary using Joox music, a teacher must prepare the materials such as sheets of paper containing song lyrics to be studied, loudspeakers, laptops / gadgets, headsets, in addition, the teacher must also explain the maximum use of the Joox music application to make it easier for students to learn both at school and at home. In addition, in learning using the Joox music application, teachers have several problems when implementing this application in the class, especially problems in internet access, students often experience bad internet access so this problem can hinder the learning process. To reduce internet access problems experienced by students, for the time being the teacher uses a personal hotspot so that students can use internet access for learning. This research is expected to be useful for teachers English, readers, and schools to get information as well can develop the quality of education.
