Abstract
The purpose of this study is to measure efficiency between conventional banks and Islamic banks during the 2014-2018 period. The data used in this study are secondary data collected from financial reports published by Bank Indonesia. The sampling technique used in this study was purposive sampling by taking a sample of 5 conventional banks and 5 Islamic banks. The measurement of efficiency in this study uses the Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) method with an intermediation approach. The input variables used in this research are savings, assets, and labor costs, while the output variables are financing and income. The results of this study indicate that there is no significant difference between the efficiency of conventional banks and Islamic banks during the 2014-2018 period.
