Abstract
This study aims to analyze foreign direct investment in Eastern Indonesia and the factors that influence it. The analysis method used is panel data regression with cross-section data covering 12 provinces in Eastern Indonesia, including East Nusa Tenggara, West Nusa Tenggara, North Sulawesi, Central Sulawesi, South Sulawesi, Southeast Sulawesi, Gorontalo, West Sulawesi, Maluku, North Maluku, West Papua and Papua. While the time series data starts from 2011-2019. The independent variables used to explain the factors that influence foreign direct investment are economic growth, labor wages, the Human Development Index, road length infrastructure and the Incremental Capital Output Ratio (ICOR). The results showed that economic growth and labor wages have a positive effect on foreign direct investment in Eastern Indonesia. Meanwhile, road length infrastructure has a negative effect on foreign direct investment in Eastern Indonesia. Meanwhile, the Human Development Index and ICOR have no effect on foreign direct investment in Eastern Indonesia.
