Abstract

This study aims to (1) describe the building structure in the novel Kinanti Featuring Arantxa by Wiwien Wintaro in terms of literary psychology. (2) Describe the personality aspects contained in the novel Kinanti Featuring Arantxa by Wiwien Wintaro with a review of literary psychology. (3) Describe the implementation of aspects of personality in the novel Kinanti Featuring Arantxa by Wiwien Wintaro as literary teaching material in high school. The method used is descriptive qualitative research object in the form of personality aspects in the novel Kinanti Featuring Arantxa by Wiwien Wintaro Besari with the object of the text research novel Kinanti Featuring Arantxa by Wiwien Wintaro, published by PT Gramedia Pustaka Utama, 26 pages. Data collection techniques using library techniques, refer to and record. The data validation technique used is the theory of triangulation. The data analysis technique uses dielectric method. Based on the results of the analysis carried out, it can be concluded as follows (1) structurally, the flow in the novel Kinanti Featuring Arantxa by Wiwien Wintaro, namely the flow forward (Progressive). The characters in the novel consist of the main characters, namely Kinan and additional characters, namely Ara, Mr. Ruji, Beru, Mr. Arief, Mrs. Arief, Rendra, Theo, Mbok Nah, and Mr. Deden. The time setting takes place in a period of the 2000. The social setting in this novel tells. (2) Personality aspects in the Kinanti featuring Arantxa novel, there are three structures according to Sigmund Freud, namely id, ego, and superego. (3) The results of this study can also be used as teaching materials in high schools, especially class XI semester 1 KD 3.7 Analyzing values (cultural, social, moral, religious, and educational) in novels and KD 4.7 Expressing values (cultural, social, morals, religion, and education) in the novel orally and in writing because it can be used as a benchmark or guide students in learning Indonesian.
