Abstract
Sidomukti Subdistrict is one of the sub-districts in Salatiga City that has experienced changes in land use from year to year. Based on data on land use in 2009 and 2019, there is agricultural land that has decreased by 683.5 ha from 1,115.5 ha to 432 ha, while the built-up land was originally only 31 ha to 714 ha in 2019. The construction of several educational facilities affects population growth in research area. This study aims to determine the changes in land use in 2009 and 2020, analyze the impact of these changes in land use and determine the dominant factors affecting land use change in the study area. To find out the agendas for land change using the overlay method of land use maps for 2009 and 2020 results from the interpretation of GeoEye-1 satellite imagery for the two years. Meanwhile, to determine the dominant factor using multiple linear regression methods and survey methods using a questionnaire to determine the impact of land use change. Changes in land use were dominated by changes in land use functions into settlements scattered in Sidomukti Subdistrict, with the largest changes being in Kecandran and Dukuh Villages. Changes in land use that experienced an increase in area, namely settlements of 44.38 ha from 391.9 ha to 436.28 ha in 2020. Meanwhile, land use that has decreased in area is yards that have decreased by 65.30 ha or 46% of the area. Overall, which was originally 475 ha in 2009 to 410.50 ha in 2020. Based on a survey conducted with several respondents, it was concluded that the impacts of land use change include the environment becoming marai (noise pollution) to rising air temperatures but this encourages community to open business fields such as stalls, loundry, photocopies, counters to supermarkets which impact on the economy of the community. Based on the results of statistical data processing, public facilities and population growth are not proven to be the dominant factors affecting land use changes in Sidomukti District. Meanwhile, the increasing need for land and space occurs due to the large number of immigrants who immigrate to the research area so that the government, groups or individuals are encouraged to provide shelter and supporting facilities. This is due to the trigger in the form of the International School (SI) and the IAIN Salatiga Campus.
