Abstract

The purpose of this study is to prove the influence of social class on women's attitude towards men in Jane Austen's Pride and Prejudcie (1813). The type of this research is qualitative research that uses two types of data, namely the primary data which is the Pride and Prejudice novel itself and the secondary data which is theory, previous research and all data sources related to this study. The results of this research show that there are indicators of social class which is made the differences that lead to the influence of social class on women's attitude towards men in Pride and Prejudice novels and based on the results of data related to the sociological approach theory, Pride and Prejudice are a reflection of the real life of British society at the beginning nineteenth century.
