Abstract

This study aims to analyze foreign debt, money supply (M2), interest rates, to the rupiah exchange rate in 2011-2019. This study uses time series data for the 2011 period: Q1- 2019: Q4. The data ised is quarterly data. The analytical model used is the error correction model econometric analysis tool (ECM). The data used were obtained from Bank Indonesia and the Central Statistics Agency (BPS). The results of this study indicate that the interest rate in the short term has a positive and significant effect, while in the long term has a negative and significant effect on the exchange rate. The money supply (M2) in the short and long term has a positive and significant effect on the exchange rate. Meanwhile, foreign debt in the short and long term has a negative and significant effect on the exchange rate. Bank Indonesia as the monetary authority are expected to maintain the stability of the rupiah exchange rate against the dollar, in order to achieve sustainable economic growth.
