Abstract
Quantitative research is scientific research that takes place in a systematic, planned, and structured manner. The observations made include everything related to the object of research, phenomena and existing correlations. Organizational commitment is needed to minimize burnout. Likewise with the traffic police. This study aims to examine the relationship between organizational commitment and burnout in traffic police at the Surakarta Police. The hypothesis proposed in this study is that there is a negative relationship between organizational commitment and burnout at the Surakarta Police Traffic Police. Quantitative research methods with research subjects Polresta Surakarta traffic with incidental sampling technique for sampling. Burnout scale and organizational commitment scale for data retrieval. The data collected were analyzed using Spearman's rho analysis technique with the help of the SPSS 16.0 program. The results obtained were r = -0.881 with p = 0.000 (p <0.01) so that it can be concluded that there is a very significant negative relationship between organizational commitment and burnout. This means that the higher the organizational commitment they have, the lower the tendency for burnout in the traffic police to the Surakarta Police. Through the correlation test, it was found that the effective contribution of organizational commitment to burnout was 78%. The level of burnout at the Surakarta Police is low, while organizational commitment is high.
