Abstract
This research aims to examines the differences in students' mathematical literacy skills in solving PISA-oriented questions in terms of gender, describing the mathematics literacy skills of junior high school students in the content of space and shape, change and relationship, quantity, and uncertainty. This type of research is the Mixed Method Research. This study used three subjects of class VIII A SMP Negeri 1 Eromoko for each content that had different mathematical literacy abilities. The data collection techniques used were tests, interviews, and documentation. The results of this study shows that there are differences in mathematics literacy skills oriented to PISA between male students and female students. In the shape and space content shows that the students do not yet have PISA-oriented mathematical literacy skills. The content of change and relantionship shows that many students have PISA-oriented mathematical literacy skills. The quantity content shows that not many students have PISA-oriented mathematical literacy skills. The uncertainty content shows that students do not yet have PISA-oriented mathematical literacy skills. To improve students’ abilities, it would be nice if students are accustomed to working on PISA-oriented question.
