Abstract

The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative research method. In this study, researchers used data sources from the video film Ku Kejar Cinta Ke Negeri Cina, while the data used conversational dialogue in which there were acts of transferring kode and mixing codes between characters in the film Ku Kejar Cinta Ke Negeri Cina. In this study, researchers used non-participatory observation data collection techniques which were then continued by using note-taking techniques. In the film Ku Kejar Cinta Ke Negeri Cina, there is a transitional action in the use of language in the form of an external code switching which includes the form of code switching from Indonesian to English and a form of code switching from Indonesian to Chinese. In this study, there are only 4 forms of code mixing found in the film Ku Kejar Cinta Ke Negeri Cina, the form of code mixing includes (1) mixed code in the form of words, (2) mixed code in the form of phrases, (3) mixed code in the form of clauses, and (4) mixed code in the form of a baster
