Abstract
Background: Water is a substance that exists in nature which under normal conditions on the earth's surface is liquid, will freeze at temperatures below zero degrees Celsius and boil at a temperature of one hundred degrees Celsius. The Refillable Drinking Water Depot (DAMIU) has become one of the small and medium scale businesses that contribute to the supply of drinking water at affordable prices. Research objectives: aims to determine the physical and chemical aspects of the depot for drinking water refill and to know the raw water and depot conditions around the UMS campus. Research Method: Observational description research which aims to analyze refill drinking water in terms of physical and chemical aspects at the Refill Drinking Water Depot (DAMIU), the research variable is that all drinking water depots around the UMS campus are more than 10 depots. 5 refill drinking water depots that are still open during a pandemic like this. Results: The temperature level as a temperature parameter is ± 30 ° C, which is allowed, as a whole sample 1 to sample 5 meets the allowed parameters. The permissible turbidity parameter is 5 Ntu, so there are some samples that are not included in the standard. For chloride content the parameter is 250 mg / l, which is permissible, as a whole from samples 1- sample 5 there are those that do not meet the allowed parameters. for the permissible iron content is 0.3 mg / l, the overall sample tested falls within the standard. The acidity level of the 5 water samples also fulfills the criteria regarding drinking water quality requirements, that the allowable acidity level has a value between 6.5 - 8.5. Conclusion: Of the 5 samples of drinking water whose raw water comes from the Lawu and Coke mountains, the depot conditions are clean, protected from insects such as rats, cockroaches and other animals, there is a place for washing gallons and a place to refill drinking water and there is lighting that is good. It is quite good and the aspects tested are temperature, turbidity, acidity, iron and chloride which have been tested in the UMS laboratory. There are several samples that do not meet the standards of the Minister of Health Regulation number 492 / MENKES / PER / IV / 2010 concerning drinking water quality requirements.
