Abstract

Adolescent is a developing state of a young person into adult, in this state, there is uncertainty feeling of oneself of the things that will be done. Teenagers starts to act like an adult, for instance, smoking, drinking, using drugs, and getting in-volved in free sex. These acts are obviously inappropriate according to the norms developed in society in general. Juvenile delinquency in social problems study can be categorized into deviant behaviour that is happened because there are deviant behaviour of many social aspects or social norms developed in society. Deviant behaviour can be considered as source of problems because it can harm the social system. The method used in this research is pre-experimental research, with one group pre and posttest design. The research sample is 30 university students ob-tained by purposive sampling technique. Data collection using a questionnaire and analyzed using wilcoxon. The result shows the average knowledge of the universi-ty students before given health education about promiscuity is 9,13 and the aver-age knowledge of the university students after given health education is 13,07 with 0,000 or p<0,05 significant value.
