Abstract

The purpose of this study are: 1) to know the effect of failure syndrome on student achievement in SMK Negeri 6 Sukoharjo; 2) to know the effect of procrastination attitudes on student achievement of SMK Negeri 6 Sukoharjo; and 3) to know failure syndrome and procrastination attitudes towards student achievement of SMK Negeri 6 Sukoharjo. In this research, the type of research used is quantitative by using a survey design. Data obtained through a questionnaire distributed to 84 respondents. The data will be processed with several test stages, namely validity, reliability, normality, linearity, multicolonierity, heteroscedasticity, autocorrelation, then multiple linear regression analysis, t test, F test, coefficient of determination, effective contribution and relative contribution. The results of the research stated that the equation Y = 53.207 + 0.388 (X_(1 )) + 0.224 (X_(2 )) with the standardized coefficients B (X_(1 )) of 0.388 and (X_(2 )) of 0.244 and an R square value of 0.262 means that this test model has a contribution of 26.2% while the rest is explained by other variables. Based on these results it states that: 1) there is an effect of failure syndrome on student achievement at SMK Negeri 6 Sukoharjo; 2) there is an effect of procrastination on student achievement at SMK Negeri 6 Sukoharjo; and 3) there is an effect of failure syndrome and procrastination attitudes on student achievement at SMK Negeri 6 Sukoharjo.
