Abstract

Changes in temperature in a tool often occur and we often encounter in electrical equipment, one of which is an increase in temperature that exceeds the operational temperature of an electric appliance which means there are losses or as a sign of damage such as short circuits in components. such as IC (integrated circuit), capacitors, resistors, and other electrical appliance components. Even though the electric appliance has increased in temperature, it does not mean that the electric device has experienced losses or a short circuit, this is because some electrical equipment is a resistive load where the load produces heat energy, so that in some studies that measure temperature changes, a temperature measuring device is required. able to note this change. The sensor used to measure the occurrence of temperature changes is a thermocouple sensor. This temperature measurement tool uses a NodeMCU ESP8266 as a microcontroller, which will then process the measurement data from the sensor so that it can be viewed and monitored via the LCD and a Blynk IoT (Internet of Thing) Platform which can be accessed via a smart phone (Android). The results of tests carried out on this tool resulted in a fairly large average error value of 25.73% with the smallest error of 0.15%, which means this tool has an accuracy of 74.27%, which means that this tool can read temperature changes with a range. temperature 0 ℃ -122 ℃ with the smallest temperature reading 0.8 ℃ and the largest temperature 121.5 ℃.
