Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the attachment of child-mother and emotional intelligence of the victims of cyber bullying. This research was conducted on 113 adolescents aged 15-17 years in the Sukoharjo area. This study uses a quantitative method with a measuring instrument in the form of a questionnaire containing 13 items on a child-mother attachment scale by Rhisang Sadewa (2017) with a measuring instrument reliability of 0.880. The questionnaire contains 31 items on the emotional intelligence scale by Mafiroh (2014) with the reliability of the measuring instrument 0.761. And the questionnaire contains 20 items of cyber bullying scale by Tri Susanti (2016) with the reliability of the measuring instrument is 0.933. The validity of the measuring instrument in this study uses the content validity coefficient. This study used a random sampling technique. The statistical analysis of the data used was the nonparametric correlation of Spearman's rho because the assumption test was that normality in the dependent variable was abnormal. The results of data analysis obtained a significance value of 1-tailed 0.000 and a correlation of -0.217, which means that there is a negative relationship between child-mother attachment and cyber bullying behavior. The results of data analysis obtained a significance of 1-tailed 0.000 and a correlation of -0.384. Which means that there is a negative relationship between emotional intelligence and cyber bullying.
