Abstract

The indicator of the success of nutrition services is seen by looking at leftovers. Minimum Service Standards (SPM) at the Dr. Moewardi Surakarta is <20%. Indicators of success in nutrition services at RSUD Dr. Moewardi Surakarta looks at leftovers based on class of treatment and time of serving the food. This study aims to determine the difference between ordinary food leftovers based on class of care and meal times of inpatients of Dr. Moewardi Surakarta. This type of research is an observational study with a cross sectional design. A total of 44 people / treatment class so that the total number of respondents was 132 people selected by consecutive sampling. Food waste data were obtained from the visual comstock method. Data analysis used the Kruskall Wallis test. The average leftover food in treatment classes I, II and III was 30.7%, 37.7% and 30.4%. The average leftover food at the time of serving breakfast, lunch and dinner was 35.5%, 32.6% and 36.4%. The difference in leftovers based on patient care class p = 0.004 and the difference between leftovers based on patient meal time p = 0.147. There is a difference between the leftovers of class I, II and III, and there is no difference between the leftovers at breakfast, lunch and dinner in inpatients who get regular food at Dr. Moewardi Surakarta.
