Abstract

This study aims to analyze and describe the suitability of the contents of the fourth grade books on the theme of the 2013 curriculum. This type of research is a qualitative study, with a content analysis design. The data collection technique is done through documentation technique, with an instrument in the form of a checklist. The data analysis technique was carried out in several stages, namely: preparation for selecting textbooks, making scoring criteria, analyzing predefined standards / categories, calculating the percentage of each aspect, determining the percentage of textbook assessment criteria with the percentage: 81.25 <% <100 very feasible, 62.5 <% ≤ 81.25 feasible, 43.75 <% ≤ 62.25 less feasible and 25 <% ≤ 43.75 not feasible, and drawing conclusions from the categories analyzed. The validity of the data was carried out in a way, namely: through the instrument validation test and observation persistence. The results showed that this textbook met the eligibility criteria for the content, namely from the spiritual dimension, the score was 66.67%, the social dimension was 100%, the knowledge dimension was 95.83%, and the skill dimension was 87.50%. In this study, we can find out the suitability of the contents of the fourth grade book in the theme of ‘Cita-citaku” of the 2013 curriculum, so that we can find out how suitable it is to be used in the world of education.
