Abstract
This research aims to find out the relationship between self-control and narcissistic personality tendencies towards consumptive behavior in students of the Faculty of Economics and Business Sciences of Muhammadiyah University of Surakarta This research uses quantitative methods. The data collection techniques in this study used self-control scale, narcissistic personality tendencies and consumer behavior. The sample in this study was as many as 90 students with purposive sampling. Product moment data analysis technique. The result of the study is that there is a negtive relationship and self-control behavior to consumptive behavior. There is no dredge of narcissistic behavior towards consumptive behavior. The percentage of self-control against consumptive behavior is obtained by 27.1% and the percentage of narcissistic behavior varibel 0% the remaining 72.9% is influenced by other factors.
