Abstract
Batik coloring have 2 types, namely natural dyes and synthetic dyes. This research was conducted to identify the material from the batik production process. The Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) method will shows at a part the basic of material or process have a major impact on the environment. The purpose of this research is to calculate the results of impact on the environmental from the basic of materials on natural and synthetic dyeing process, to compare the eco-efficiency value of “UKM Batik Pandono” with “UKM Batik Mahkota” and to give the repair suggestions in an effort to reduce of impact on the environmental. Based on the calculations, the result of eco-cost “UKM Batik Pandono” and “UKM Batik Mahkota” is IDR 101.102.070,07 and IDR 18.878.539,90. The EEI result from “UKM Batik Pandono” is 0,8972 which means affordable and not sustainable, then an EVR of 1,1146 and an EER rate of -0,1146% is obtained, which means that the eco-efficiency of batik products is poor based on considerations from economic and environmental aspects. Meanwhile, “UKM Batik Mahkota” has an EEI of 4,1832 which means affordable and sustainable, then an EVR of 0,239 is obtained and an EER rate of 0,761%, which means that the eco-efficiency of the batik product is getting better.
