Abstract
This study aimed to indentify the management of village funds, the absorption of village funds to increase the role of community in village development, obstacles in absorption village funds, and problem solving. The research location is in Banjaran Village, Taman Subdistrict, Pemalang Regency. The research resource persons consisted of the Village Head, BPD and the Banjaran community. Research data collection techniques using interviews, observation and documentation. The validity of the data used in this study was data triangulation. Data analysis technique using analysis model of ethnography according to research data spradley. The results show that 1) Village fund management is carried out according to procedures and in accordance with applicable government regulations based on the principles of village financial management, namely transparent, accountable, participatory, orderly and budgetary discipline. 2) The priority for the absorption of village funds is to improve village development, by increasing village development the community can be more prosperous so that it can increase community participation. The existence of village meetings and community self-help makes the community aware of the importance of increasing village development. 3) Constraints that exist in the community are the lack of understanding and truth about village funds. The development that the community wants is not proportional to the budget owned by the village. 4) The solution is for the village government to disseminate applicable policies in the management of village funds and increase the number of information boards in every corner of the hamlet so that it is easily accessible to the community.
