Abstract

ABSTRACT This study aims to describe: What is the form of the implementation of religious character education through the hidden curriculum at Muhammadiyah Imam Syuhodo Elementary School, how the strategy for implementing religious character education through the hidden curriculum at SD Muhammadiyah Imam Syuhodo, the support and obstacles to the implementation of religious character education through the hidden curriculum at Muhammadiyah Imam Syuhodo Elementary School. This type of research is field research in the form of qualitative research that is descriptive analytic using a comprehensive psychological approach. The subjects of this study were students, teachers, and principals. The data collection method used was triangulation, namely observation, interviews, and documentation. Data validity techniques used are: 1) Credibility 2) Transferability 3) Dependability 4) Confirmability. Data analysis used Miles and Huberman's model, namely: data reduction, data presentation and conclusion, verification. The results of this study are: 1) The form of implementation of student religious character education through hidden curriculum at Muhammadiyah Imam Syuhodo Elementary School is carried out through two aspects, namely structural and cultural aspects. 2) The method of implementing religious character education through a hidden curriculum that is used is: methods with quranic and prophetic stories, educating by exemplary, educating with self-habituation and practice, educating with 'ibrah (lessons) and mau'idzah (warning), educating with targhib (to make fun) and tarhib (to make fear). 3) Implementation strategies include: Formulating a vision and mission, preparing human resources, adding to the role of teachers, building a positive culture and climate, holding meetings between teachers and parents, conducting an evaluation process. 4) Constraints faced are: communication with parents and facilities that are not optimal. 5) The solutions offered are: home visit and construction of supporting facilities for the implementation of the religious curriculum education at Muhammadiyah Imam Syuhodo Elementary School.
