Abstract
This study aims to determine the distribution of meteorological water availability, distribution of domestic water demand and domestic water crisis in drought-prone villages in Musuk Sub-district, Boyolali Regency. The research method uses a quantitative descriptive analysis. The analysis is based on aspects of rainfall and population. Monthly average rainfall is used to calculate meteorological water availability in each study area village, while the population is used to calculate domestic needs. The comparison of the values of both is used to determine the level of water criticality in each village in the study area. The results is the volume of meteorological water availability reached a billion units per month in all villages in the study area. That is, the availability of meteorological water is very sufficient and abundant to meet the needs of the population, given the population 2 is also small. So the research area can be categorized as not occurring water criticality. The results showed that the distribution of water availability reached units of billion liters per month in all villages in Musuk District. The largest availability of meteorological water is found in three villages; Mriyan 2,023,850,270 liters/month, Cluntang 1,810,218,048 liters/month and Jemowo 1,696,990,745 liters/month. Meanwhile, the smallest meteorological water availability was found in three villages; Dragan 663,698,283 liters/month, Pagerjurang 720,824,187 liters/month and Karangkendal 743,887,923 liters/month. Most domestic water needs are found in Sukorejo amount to 9,915,360 liters/month and Jemowo 9,747,920 liters/month. Meanwhile, the minimum domestic need is found in Lanjaran 3,831,100 liters/month and Pagerjurang 2,196,740 liters/month. All villages are categorically classified as not water critical, however the number of potential water criticality increase on July and August.
