Abstract

Countries that supply certain commodities to other countries in need will carry out export activities. Exports are an important source of foreign exchange for developing countries, including Indonesia, in carrying out development. This study aims to determine the effect of investment (PMDN & PMA), inflation, the US dollar exchange rate and the BI Rate credit interest rate, and gross domestic product (GDP), simultaneously and partially on exports in Indonesia in 1997- 2017. As well as to find out the independent variables that have a dominant effect on Indonesian exports in 1997-2017. The data analysis technique used in this study is multiple linear regression analysis using the Ordinary Least Square (OLS) method. The results of data analysis show that Investment and GDP has a significant effect on exports in Indonesia 1997-2017, while inflation, the US dollar exchange rate, the BI Rate credit interest rate has no significant effect on exports in Indonesia 1997-2017.
