Abstract
Economic development cannot be separated from the role of humans in managing it, humans are labor, development inputs, as well as consumers of the results of development itself. The main problem in Indonesian manpower lies in the level of employment opportunities. The purpose of this study is to describe the absorption of labor in Central Java Province and analyze the figures for inflation, GDP, UMK, and HDI. The dependent variable in this study is labor absorption, the independent variable is inflation, GRDP, UMK and HDI. The data used in this research is secondary data. The type of data used is panel data, which is a combination of time series data, namely the period 2013–2018, while the cross section data is 35 districts / cities in Central Java Province. The results of this study indicate that the inflation variable has a significant effect on labor absorption, while the other independent variables have no and insignificant effect on labor absorption.
