Abstract

Education has an important role in human life as a provision for facing challenges and solving problems they face in the future. Through learning that applies high-order thinking skills based on 4C skills, it is hoped that schools will be able to produce quality students. This study aims to find out and get a more in- depth description of higher order thinking skills based on 4C skills at SD Muhammadiyah PK Simo, Boyolali Regency. This research is a qualitative research. Data collection techniques using interviews, observation, and documentation. In this study, data analysis techniques used the Miles and Huberman model. The purpose of this study is to describe how teachers teach using higher order thinking skills and 4C skills based learning models and to describe the constraints and solutions of teachers in teaching using higher order thinking skills based learning models and 4C skills. The results of this study indicate that SD Muhammadiyah PK Simo, Boyolali Regency has implemented learning that applies higher order thinking skills based on 4C skills. The conclusion from this research is the implementation of learning based on higher order thinking skills and 4C skills, namely through group learning, some of the obstacles for teachers in carrying out learning activities, namely the concentration of children who are still weak in low grade students and different characters of children in high class can overcome the obstacles faced by providing time breaks for low grade students and using different learning methods for high class students.
