Abstract

Surakarta has a diverse and more tourist potential compared to other cities in Central Java. Bengawan Sala is the largest and longest river in Java. Two words that mean Bengawan = a large river, Solo, which was supposed to be written by Sala, an area in the residency of the city of Surakarata. On the part of the Bengawan Solo river located in Pucangsawit there is the Tugu Flood Park. The selection of the Tugu Flood Park as a final project is due to the lack of progress that has increased significantly even though the potential that can be managed and maintained properly will run optimally. This development project is expected to be a benchmark to develop the Tugu Flood Park to be more developed, provide education for the community about efforts to preserve nature, culture and local history of the city of Surakarta. So that it can attract tourists to be more interested in visiting the park which has been neglected.
