Abstract

The purpose of this research is to find out the combination formed and the crystal structure in the XRD process. The specimens in this study used scrap aluminium. In this study the Rockwell test was carried out to compare the hardness values at aging 150° C, 175° C, and 200° C. XRD test was carried out to determine the compounds formed and crystal structure at aging 150° C, 175° C, and 200° C. The results showed that the hardness value increased at aging 150° C which reached 69.11 HRB, while at aging 175° C which reached 74.46 HRB, and 200° C which reached 80.36 HRB. By using XRD the compound formed at aging 150° C is the highest peak SiO2 38.07° whit the crystal structure in the form of Hexagonal, and Al2O3 the highest peak is 38.07° with the crystal structure shaped Triclinic, while at aging 175° C is the highest peak SiO2 38.08° with Hexagonal crystal structure, and Al2O3 highest peak of 44.30° with Triclinic crystal structure, and aging 200° C SiO2 highest peak of 38.10° whit Hexagonal crystal structure and highest Al2O3 peak with 64.68° with structure Triclinic crystal.
