Abstract
ABSTRACT This study aims to look at the influences of the variables government on education and health, poverty and Gross Domestic Product (GDP) Per Capita of the Human Development Index (HDI) in the province of Central Java. This research use secondary data that is acquired from Directorate General of Regional Fiscal Balance and Central Corporation Central Java Stastistic in 2017-2018. The method that is used in this research is multiple linear regression analysis. The samples in this research is 70 regencies in central java province. The sample collection method is purposive sampling. Analysis tools used include normality test, heteroscedasticity test, multicollinearity test, multiple linear regression analysis test, f test, t test and R2 test. The results showed that the variables government spending on education and health sector no significant effect on the human development index. While poverty variables significant negative effect on the human development index. GDP Per Capita positive and significant effect on the human development index.
