Abstract

ABSTRACT Vertical building construction is an effective and efficient alternative to solve the problem of less land as a result of continuous development to meet community needs for housing for their homes. Besides that, you also have to pay attention to the strength of the foundation, the construction of the Rajawali Palace Building has a total of 20 floors and also has 5 basement floors, while the foundation used is a raft foundation with a thickness of 1.5 m. This study aims to determine the overall load of the building, the location, and size of the maximum load that occurs, as well as to determine the bearing capacity, uplift force, settlement, and to know the reinforcement needed in making the foundation. The Rajawali Palace building has a building load of 794944 kN, and for a maximum load of q max = 524.343 kN / m2 it is located on ordinate x = 41.039 mm; y = 1726,124 mm which is measured from the center of the building. The value of the carrying capacity of the foundation by calculating using the Terzaghi method with a result of 2291.33 kN / m2 while the calculation using the Mayerhof method results in 1458.056 kN / m2, the uplift force that occurs in the building foundation is 85354.425 kN while the building resistance to force uplift of 132089.1357 kN, for the decrease caused by the building load and other force factors of 1.1324 cm, and for the needs of the raft foundation reinforcement used 32D-120 and reinforcement for 22D-125.
