Abstract

HIV / AIDS is still a health problem in Indonesia. Health and sexuality education is one of the solutions to overcome health problems, one of which is HIV / AIDS. This study was conducted to analyze media relations and access to information on parental behavior in providing health and sexuality education to adolescents in Surakarta. This type of research is analytic observational with a cross-sectional approach. The population in this study were parents in Surakarta who had children aged 15-19 years. The number of samples of the study was 300 parents with Multistage Cluster Random Sampling. The data method uses a questionnaire via google form. The results of data analysis were based on the Chi Square test which showed that there was a relationship between media estimates (p = 0.0001), access to information (p = 0.0001) and the behavior of parents in providing health and sexuality education to adolescents. This research is expected to be a reference material for parents in providing health and sexuality education to adolescents.
