Abstract
Background: Patients with pulmonary TB cases of children aged 0-14 years in Surakarta in 2018 were found as many as 48 children and in 2019 found as many as 70 children. Domestic Hygiene Mother is one of the activities to maintain cleanliness which includes the environment of the house, clothes and beds. Objective: This study aims to determine the relationship between domestic hygiene and the incidence of pediatric pulmonary tuberculosis in DKK Surakarta. Method: This type of research is analytic observational with a case control approach. The sample was taken using a total sampling technique, with a population of all pediatric pulmonary tuberculosis patients in the DKK Surakarta area with a total of 54 respondents. Results: The results indicated that there was a relationship between Domestic Hygiene and the incidence of pulmonary tuberculosis in children (OR = 2.154 95% CI = 1.025 - 4.524). Conclusions and Recommendations: It is hoped that health workers can carry out control and prevention by providing education to parents, especially mothers, such as providing information about pulmonary TB disease and transmission to children.
