Abstract

ABSTRACT This study took a problem entitled Islamic Religious Education teacher strategies in fostering Ukhwah Islamiyah for students with special needs at Al-Firdaus Middle School, Sukoharjo. This discussion focuses on Islamic Education teachers who teach or foster related to socialization-communication and good character building for students who have a background of hearing impairment, physical impairment and mental retardation. All of these problems were discussed to obtain objectives including describing several kinds of strategies as well as steps and results as well as analyzing the constraints and evaluations of the IRE teacher's strategy in coaching Islamic Islamic Studies to ABK students. This research method uses qualitative research methods, with the type of field research and the research approach is a phenomological approach. so that it gets the expected results. The object of this research was carried out at Al-Firdaus Middle School, Sukoharjo, which is located on Jalan Mendungan, Pabelan, Sukoharjo and the subjects of this study were Islamic education teachers who taught grades 9-12. Collecting data using interviews by school principals and Islamic education teachers, observation by observing the activities of IRE teachers-ABK students in the school environment and documentation. Data analysis in this study used the Milles Huberman technique which was carried out by reducing data then conveying data and finally giving conclusions. Finally, using data triguagulation techniques as a form of validity of research data before publication. From this research, the results are in accordance with the discussion, including a) learning strategies that are suitable for students with special needs, namely 1) Heuristic strategies; 2) Cooperative Learning Strategy; 3) Behavior or Habitual Modification Strategy; 4) Moving Class Learning Model; 5) using learning media in the form of visuals; 6) placing them in inclusion-based schools; 7) implementing a remedial teaching program and giving rewards; 8) compile a special curriculum. b) The results obtained include: 1) Strong motivation; 2) The most important assessments for deaf students include cognitive, affective and psychomotor and only affective aspects of mental retardation and mental health.; 3) Are the most skilled students in completing school assignments well; 4) Independent in doing various things; 5) Having an attitude of always being grateful. c) And some of the obstacles and solutions from the strategy of fostering Ukhwah Islamiyah, the first is the constraints it faces in the form of. 1) Difficulty mastering the material; 2) Inability to control emotions; 3) Lack of adequate facilities and infrastructure. So the solution is 1) Understanding each character in each student; 2) Give attention in mastering the material to students; 3) Build and equip adequate infrastructure according to the needs of ABK students.
