Abstract

Internet provide easiness for the teenagers to manage friendships, until they are having a romantic relationships. Public Display of Affection is a behavior show off intimacy with opposite gender then exhibited to public. This research will explain objectively about behavior Public Display of Affection among teenagers. This research purpose are to acknowledge teenagers to manage information Public Display of Affection at application Whatsapp and what kind of factors that could affect teenagers in doing Public Display of Affection. Using communication privacy management theory, this research are trying to describe about the phenomenon of Public Display of Affection. This research is qualitative research which trying to explain on how teenagers doing a Public Display of Affection. This research character is descriptive which aims to describe the interview in depth. This research are using snowball sampling technique in determining the research subject that could give information to researcher. The technique that used in data collecting is depth interviews technique. The research shows that the teenager needs foor being exist and popular cannot be separated from teenagers whom do and understand the Public Display of Affection. Other than that, the peer factor also affects teenagers in conducting Public Display of Affection. Performing Public Display of Affection not only to fullfil the need to be more well-known for the audience, but can cause strain up to declining reputation. Thereby, teenager will trying to manage privacy information properly.
