Abstract

This study aims to determine the quality development strategy at SMPIT MTA Karanganyar in the 2019/2020 school year.This type of research is a descriptive qualitative research using research techniques and data collection tools through interviews, observation and documentations. Time and place of research on Wednesday, May 6, 2020 at SMPIT MTA Karanganyar. The research subjects were the principal, the vice principal, administration and the teachers themselves. In preparing school quality development strategies, SMPIT MTA Karanganyar uses several programs through: (1) improving human resources such as teachers and office staffs, (2) Completing facilities and infrastructure, (3) Conducting routine evaluations of teachers and office staffs, (4) TSL program (Success Team of Competition), (5) OSN (National Science Olympic) and (6) PTI (Intensive Tahfidz Program). The several programs that have been implemented, the most dominant program is increasing human resources, teaching staff. In facing this dominant program, SMPIT MTA Karanganyar strives to improve human resources through IHT (In House Training), workshops, seminars, and Bimtak.
