Abstract
Edutainment is an innovation to help the counseling process run well and effectively. The use of Edutainment as a form of drug counseling communication is one of the efforts made by Danar n The Blangkon to be able to attract the audience who are considered less enthusiastic in following the drug counseling process in the old way. This study aims to find out how the process of adopting Edutainment innovations carried out by Danar n The Blangkon in drug counseling. This type of research uses qualitative descriptive study methods that aim to explain the phenomenon factually through the data obtained. The data source in this study uses primary data in the form of observation and in-depth interviews and secondary data in the form of documentation. The sampling technique uses Snowball Sampling. Furthermore, to ensure data validity, researchers use data triangulation and in the presentation of their data researchers use an interactive model. The results of this study note that the use of Edutainment is based on the dissatisfaction of Danar The Blangkon to the audience's response when participating in the drug counseling process. In this research the communication channels used by Danar The Blangkon are interpersonal communication and mass communication. The adoption stage in this study consists of 3 stages, namely prior condition, knowledge stage, persuasion stage.
