Abstract

This study describes the law of buying and selling dogs in Depok Surakarta market. The main problem in this research is about: What is the opinion of 4 Imam Mahzab about buying and selling dogs in Depok Surakarta market? The purpose of this study was to determine the opinions of 4 Imam Mahzab about buying and selling dogs in Depok Market. This type of research uses field research (field research). The approach used is a descriptive qualitative approach. Data collection methods are using observation, interviews, and documentation. The results of research in Islamic law states that the law of buying and selling dogs according to 4 Imam Mahzab has differences of opinion which include not allowing buying and selling of dogs unless dogs are useful, this opinion comes from Imam Hanafi and Imam Syafii. Meanwhile, for Imam Malik, he argued that buying and selling dogs was rude to do and for Imam Hambali it was the opinion that buying and selling dogs was absolutely haram.
