Abstract
Occupational Disease (PAK) is a disease caused by work, tools, materials, and processes that occur in the workplace. Various types of diseases can arise due to work. Lung organs and respiratory tract are the organs and body systems that are most affected by exposure to hazardous materials in the workplace. As faced by employe in the Guitar Industry Center in MancasanBaki Village, Sukoharjo, which is an industry engaged in the production of guitars. Dust particles when entering into the human respiratory organs, it can cause respiratory problems in workers. Based on a preliminary study of 10 employees 4 of whom complained of respiratory problems such as coughing, phlegm, shortness of breath, or wheezing. factors. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between years of service, age and use of personal protective equipment (PPE) with respiratory disorders. This type of research uses observational research with a cross sectional design. The population in this study were all employees in the guitar industry center of MancasanBakiSukoharjo village as many as 56 people. The entire population is taken as a sample (total sampling). The collection technique uses a questionnaire. Data analysis techniques used the Chi-Square test alternative test Fisher Exact. The results showed that there was a significant positive relationship between years of service (CC = 0.295; p = 0.018), age (CC = 0.458; p = 0,000), and use of PPE (CC = 0.439; p = 0,000) with respiratory disorders.
