Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of the Gini index, geographic difficulty index, village budget funds and the dependency ratio on poverty in Jatinom District. The data used are secondary data obtained from the publication of the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) of Klaten Regency and the Regional Revenue Service of Klaten Regency. The research data used cross section data consisting of 17 villages in Jatinom District in 2015. The method used in this study is multiple linear regression analysis with the OLS (Ordinary Least Square) approach method. The dependent variable is poverty and the independent is the Gini index, geographic difficulty index, village budget funds, and the dependency ratio. The results of this study indicate that the geographic difficulty index and dependency ratio variables have a significant effect on poverty in Jatinom District, while the Gini index variables and village funds have no significant effect on poverty in Jatinom District
